Getting to/from the boat

Part of the SV Indie Sky experience is embracing the spirit of adventure — and that starts before you even step aboard.  We don’t always know the exact dock or anchorage we’ll be using until closer to your embarkation date. Weather, routing, and local conditions determine our locations. That’s the nature of life at sea — and part of what makes this real.

We don’t typically book flights or hotels for you directly, but we’ll help you build a clear, low-stress travel plan to get onboard that is tailored to your expedition.

Whether you're flying, ferrying, or just figuring out the last mile — we’ll help you get to the boat with confidence.

What to Expect

Most crew fly into a major airport near the region where the expedition begins. From there, it might take a mix of taxis, buses, ferries, or even a bit of hoofing it to reach the marina, anchorage, or beach where we’ll link up. There’s a high likelihood of One Wheels being involved.

Getting to & from the boat is part of the adventure.
We’ll give you just enough intel to get it done right — and maybe earn a story or two in the process.

Flexibility is key. Whether you're flying in or out, we highly recommend refundable or flexible airfare, as weather and routing may affect our exact embarkation time and location. We’ll keep you updated with meet-up windows and position reports as your expedition approaches.
