This passage is a southbound expedition focused on real seamanship, not a fixed itinerary. We depart Providenciales, cross the Caicos Bank, then transition to a true blue-water passage toward the Dominican Republic. Wind, weather, sea state, and customs port-of-entry requirements determine our initial DR landfall. From there, we cruise west to east along the northern coast before finishing at Luperon. This expedition allows meaningful exploration of both the Turks and Caicos Islands and the Dominican Republic. Crew are active participants in every decision. Weather modeling, route selection, bank and offshore navigation, fuel and water management, anchoring strategy, and daily risk assessment are taught and applied in real time.
Onboard, you learn how to safely and confidently operate a modern 46-foot catamaran. Sail handling, watch standing, systems management, docking and anchoring, energy and water conservation, provisioning, and maintenance are covered with the goal of building true competence. This is how full-time liveaboard sailors actually operate.
Between passages, we slow down and play. Freediving over reefs, wing-foiling or surfing when conditions allow, swimming in clear shallows, and exploring anchorages are part of the rhythm. Adventure is balanced with education.
You finish in the Dominican Republic with practical offshore skills, a clear understanding of liveaboard life, and the experience and confidence to crew or skipper your own future adventures.
